I love the cigarette. Rarity strikes me as a smoker -- always has. I don't think Marlboros are her brand, though. Virginia Slims maybe... or Nat Shermans? Dunhills, perhaps? Probably one of those last two. |

I imagine she's got a little filigreed silver rolling machine and buys small pouches of specialty tobacco. They smell like fruit spice and the last embers of a campfire when they burn.
She affords herself two, maybe three in a month, late in the evening, always in the bath, always when she's washing her hair anyway so she doesn't smell even the slightest bit like smoke. Even Sweetie Belle doesn't know. After all, Applejack swore she wouldn't tell a soul. Ain't nopony's business who's buyin' her crops 'ceptin' her and the pony who's buyin'. |
