I know that what he draws for his livestream are all based on requests.
I know that I personally think his humanizations are the best (and generally the hottest) ones, and love them all accordingly. And I know that I personally think that this image is awesome. And I know that saying this when all the above is true will make me a massive hypocrite. But I do wish that JJ would do more Ponies in his livestreams rather than just humanizations as he has of late. |

I'm not sure why so many people like the RainbowShy ship, other than the obvious. They'd make a terrible couple because Rainbow Dash does not have enough patience for Fluttershy, and can be very inconsiderate with some of her remarks about her. I don't think Rainbow Dash would ever cross the line into physical abuse, but it's quite possible that she would verbally abuse Fluttershy and not even realize it.
They get along fine as friends, but when you move in with someone and share their bed you see the best and worst of them, and thus a lot of people who get along fine as friends would be terrible as mates. |

Well the way I see it is this: Opposites attract. Their personalities, while different, also offer contrast, which I think personally resonates well. If they were both the same it would be boring.
That and I Ship for the 'Dawww... factor. So the unlikelyness just adds to the appeal. |

There is more to good chemistry than opposites that compliment each other. There are many different types of personalities, and some of them are not good with each other. Someone who is reckless and arrogant like Rainbow Dash shouldn't be paired with someone who is shy and meek like Fluttershy, because she would overpower her in the relationship. They aren't just opposites-- they're the opposites of what each other needs.
Rainbow Dash needs someone who shares her interests and can keep up with her, but is slightly more modest so that there won't be competing egos. Fluttershy needs someone who is patient and pays attention to her feelings. However cute or sexy you may find the pairing, it would be a bad relationship. |
