I know Brent Floss also expressed his dislike with MM7, but I actually liked the game myself. |

Well, MM7 was okay, but it had it's issues like choppy framerate, not so good stage design and that it came out just after the awesome MMX games. It had some good points, like at the end of the game when Mega was actually going to kill Wily. |

@216: I seriously do not think I can listen to that and the MM3 intro without those lyrics going through my head. |

Yeah, playing MMX as your first Megaman game and then going to Mega Man 7 will not endear the original series to anyone. I could handle the softer, more Saturday-morning style, but I couldn't get over the 2-button Megaman slide vs. X's single button dash, and not being able to cling to walls. |

That turtle gave me nightmares.
Use the Slash Claw carefully. |

^Actually, what you have to do is get one of the tiny turtles in a Danger Wrap bubble (at waist-height), and walk into it when the head is open. Takes like 1/4th of it's heathbar off.
Slashclaw is for the Gutstank; knock the boulders back. And it takes a bit of timing, but Rush Jet (plus a Wily Beer to restore fuel) is the best against the floating skull thing; when you turn the opposite way that Rush is flying, he slows down, exactly with the same speed the screen scrolls with that boss. Then just go up and down in a sine wave pattern and keep shooting pellets, and you'll destroy it with about 1.5 full tanks of flying. |

^ I never knew that, I always just jumped off the missiles and hit it with Noise Crush.
MM7 was a good game. Not as good as the holy trinity of 2, 3 and 4, but better than 5 or 6 and definitely better than 8. There was so much stuff to find and the Super Adapter was awesome. But yeah, I can see how going from the X games down to this would turn people off. You just have to approach the classic games with a different mindset from the X games, they're designed not to be as user-friendly. |
