Neither were dogs with stuff strapped on their backs. They were trained to crawl under running tanks to get their ration of food. Then they were fitted with explosive backpacks that blew up when the dogs crawled under the tanks. Karma was a bitch, though - the dogs ran under and blew up GERMAN tanks, not the Allied's. As soon as they figured that out, they had to kill the loose dogs so they wouldn't run under their tanks. |
