If they all became Alicorns it'd probably "send a bad message" that they weren't good enough the way they already were. |

^^ I disagree, especially if its like a temporary transformation thing.
Celestia and Luna being alicorns, by default, imply that they are more perfect then anypony else, which sort of cancels out any "not good enough as they were" for the main heroes anyway. If the sole message of the show was that the 6 alone are relatively weak, but their combined unity can exceed their power, then Dash and Twilight would not be as strong as they are. If the underlying message is that, relying on your friends, we can get stronger and stronger individually as well as a whole, that would be a far more grand and ambitious message. |
