For some reason... seeing this picture kindles a whole big mythology for me.
After the destruction of the original world of ponies and all she held dear, a grown up Faust uses her great Alicorn power to create a new world where friendship is magic. Power all but spent, she kindles the sun and shapes the moon for her two daughters, the Alicorn princesses to govern before fading back into the cosmos to rest and watch. |

I love this artist's idea of Faust living in the same world as G1, and as a younger filly to boot. It's a reverse Twilight-Celestia situation of sorts. And where else do you see gos nursed to old age by mortals with both sides being totally cool about it? |
