Brings back bad memories of me trying to beat Chameleon Twist 2, and getting so frustrated I chucked my N64 controller across the room. |

I LOVED CHAMELEON QUEST YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH ABOUT IT BEING BAD.
Actually I never played the first one but I played the shit out of Chameleon Twist 2. |

@cyber95 I like its game concept, but not its execution. In some ways, it feels like it would've made a better 2D game than a 3D one. But no, you've got all the awkwardness of terrible camera angles paired with irritating platforming segments.
I did like what I've played of Chameleon Twist 2 more, though. Don't like how they altered the character designs to look more like real chameleons in the non-Japanese versions of that game, though. If Chameleon Twist was brought back today, I could so see it going for a Sgt. Frog/Keroro Gunso visual style. |

Well to be fair, I kind of liked everything as a kid. That said, I tried playing it again a little while ago and I did still enjoy it a bit, probably running mostly on nostalgia.
But yes. The cameras. Hooray early 3d cameras! |

At first it kinda sounded like you were describing the Gex 3D game. Leslie Phillips, man. Whatta beast!
So is Chameleon Twist worth a look? |

^Maybe as a curiosity or study on early 3D platformers, but I'd suggest getting it on the cheap if you wanna try it. It's like $6.75 on Amazon, not including the S&H. |

Fun fact: I first played it because my uncle was like 'you like Pokemon games right?"
He thought it was called Charmeleon Twist. |

Floating cameras are horrible. Makes you twist around that knob trying to catch up with its wonkyness. Some PC games allow you to fix the camera behind the character, or have the camera follow the character in the room from a wall like in Duke Nukem. Again, it depends on which toolkit the studio uses for producing a game. |
