I suppose it's impossible for her to buck off the rocks? She seems like a plenty strong pony. Maybe being caught by the wings is severely debilitating.
In any case, poor Dash. Being humbled is a painful experience, regardless of whether or not one deserves it. |

@dudemang: I imagine she's durable, and strong for a Pegasus, but as I recall, Pegasi are fairly weak compared to Earth Ponies. Remember how Applejack blows her away in the bucking contest during "Fall weather Friends." Also, that was a pretty sizeable rock if I recall correctly. |

^ Dash also beat AJ in a hoof-wrestling contest. And she also tore down a barn with her bare hooves, ripping out wood with her teeth.
She's not an earth pony, but she's plenty strong, so it seems. It's probably one of those niggling inconsistencies that crop up, and shouldn't really worry about. |

@Hsere and dudemang: also, remember how Rainbow Dash calls Applejack "Ponyville's best athlete" in Applebuck Season? I suspect Applejack is stronger than Rainbow Dash because of the work Applejack does and the sleep Rainbow Dash does. |
