I usually go with Raridash, and for the life of me, I can't make those personalities work together in my headcannon.
I'd also like to note that I didn't place them like that. I was walking and looked in my bag and 'caught' them, so to speak. |

It's definitely a cute ship, although I guess they pretty much all are. It's just that they have less in common than Rarity and AJ do. The few times they're interacting by themselves, like 'swarm of the century', they both would clearly rather be doing something else, with somepony else. I have trouble even thinking of how a conversation would go between them without a third party. |

hey, nobody ever said every relationship you are in is destined to last a long time. sometines it's a relationship that both people know won't last long but they enjoy it despite how fleeting they know it is.
sort of waiting, knowing that you will have better matches in the future, but in the meantime, it's a good thing to enjoy somebody else who is in the same situation. |

I think the on;y way I can imagine it is they are the only two lesbians each know of, so they are sticking with each other until they find more suitable lovers. or like, rarity is bi, but her standards for stallions are much higher than other mares. |
