There is such a thing as a "silent majority." Just because there's shipping everywhere doesn't mean that the majority of fans ship. The problem is, because not shipping is a lack of action, the people taking action (shippers) are the ones who get noticed, thus creating the appearance that the majority of the fan community is involved with shipping even though it might actually be a pretty small amount of fans. |

It's the piece that makes something perverted (the definition of which can vary wildly from person to person) or just cute/innocent; but both types of shipping art exist for both hetero and same-sex pairs. There doesn't seem to be anything perverted about this particular image, IMO. There's no nudity or anything else explicit going on. It's a bit of an intimate scene, I guess, but no more so than many things commonly portrayed between hetero couples in films rated PG or PG-13. I'm not sure where the rage is coming from with these various anons; why are some segments of the fandom devolving into raging, foaming at the mouth fuckwits these days? |

@#687505 Almost all straight males are turned on by girl-on-girl with very few exceptions. Don't act like you're some kind of noble crusader for equality, because if it was really about equality we'd see at least as much straight shipping within this fandom as we do slash. The real reason why most shipping for MLP is slash is because guys don't want to think about another guy's dick being in their little clop fantasies.
There's nothing wrong with liking girl on girl, but call it what it is and don't get butthurt that a lot of fans either don't take slash ships seriously or find them annoying. In all likeliness we will never see slash pairings in canon. If and when it turns out that Rainbow Dash has a crush on Soarin and not Spitfire, Lyra and/or Bonbon already have boyfriends/husbands, or whatever other way shipping gets tossed out the window in the show, don't get mad about it when it happens because Hasbro is just going to laugh drink your salty tears. |

I'm not an artist, so I'm responsible for no type of shipping art, hetero or otherwise. I was merely pointing out that your wording implied that depictions of same-sex pairings were somehow "perverted" by virtue of that fact alone. If that's not want you wanted to communicate, then I'd suggest you choose your words more carefully.
It seems that you're the one who's butthurt here, not anyone else. If you'd like to see some more straight shipping fanart (of which there already is a moderate quantity), feel free to request or commission it from some of the community's better artists. Whining about it here, as you've done, accomplishes nothing. |

No. First off, I resent being told to "learn to accept" that other people have differing opinions. I know more than anyone about differing opinions. I am not closed-minded. Secondly, if you know full well that nothing is going to change, then bringing it up all the time is not just you "voicing your opinion" when all you really have to do is not look at the pictures is no better than trolling. If I went into pictures related to Cupcakes and bitched about how I dislike Cupcakes and think it's stupid, that would make me a troll. But I don't.
