I agree that the game hasen't aged well. Back when I was playing it on a 16 MHz Mac LC II with an external half-speed(!) CD-ROM then the pre-rendered graphics looked absolutely breathtaking. I got the iOS version about two years ago and replaying the game was still a lot of fun even though it doesn't look as pretty any more. |

... Huh. I can actually get behind this.
And while I feel it's true that Myst hasn't aged too well, I still play Riven (the sequel) even now, and Myst III: Exile is a masterwork, plain and simple. |

So we take this and make it into a game/crossover fic.
And the Stranger (could be an average brony or a foreigner pony) arrives into an unpopulated Equestrian island. And make the ages into the generations of the show, for example, Selenitic being G1, and, say, Mechanical being G3.5. It could work  |
