A Brief History Originally published in 1899 by Cornelius Vanderpony, My Little Pony Hide&Seek (MLPH&S) is a development of a public domain game predating the fin de siècle reboot by at least three decades. The original was made by hand and distributed by Prudence Deloönge (pronounced "dee-LUUUNG-djeeay"—it's worth getting it right since she's the true creator of the most expensive, most-played game on BGG). Ms. Deloönge used the orginal game to teach animal husbandry at the orphanage where she worked as a moppet-slopper. Mr. Vanderpony used the game to make money. Reams and reams of sweet, sweet money which he blew on a doomed airship consortium. He was assassinated in 1912 by a blowdart to the neck—a dart rumored to have been carved from one of Ms. Deloönge's thigh bones and delivered through the other with a hearty puff of air. The identity of the assassin remains one of history's greatest mysteries. |
