Challenging OC. Sleeps with the mane cast and isn't afraid of nopony, but I still want to like. Why is that?
Maybe because not gratuitous Mary Sue, just a sex worker in a fun, silly adult version of the mane universe. So just his job, albeit put in a way I can identify with. Which is odd. (Inb4 because middle class vanillapony tying self into knots trying not to be racist) |

Ice Pack is great because he's not being taken too seriously. GG's comics and Tumblr are all very silly and lighthearted, instead of the typical OC situation where it's either a blatant self-insert, or the character is always immediately important for a major dramatic situation. Ice Pack is just a lot of fun to watch.
Also I absolutely adore how plainly he talks about his business. "Oh. Hello. I am here to have sex with you." |

Yeah. He starts from a position of sleeping with the main cast *as a joke*, like it's this big chore where he has to deal with their neurosies every 'appointment'.
It's okay because it's clever and the protagonist is a bit put-upon despite having Possibly The Best Job. It's like... everything becomes a little less fun once it's your work, you know? |
