to be fair, they listed more than just "lame" as a reason to be mean. apparently dash was so lazy she got kicked out of flight school. that's something a superiority complex really could latch onto as a reason to hate someone.

They're bullies made for a kids show. Go figure.

^That kind of thinking is the reason a lot of kids' shows sucked in the past.

Are you implying that MLP:FiM has weak character characterization?

Oh wow, the one shot characters have little characterization, what a shock.

I like how people get mad at some character that makes fun of a character or characters they like and just assume they have no characterization.

Believe it or not, the all brawn and no brains bully IS characterization showing that they would rather go around pointing out other peoples faults then polishing their own. It's a decent personality to give to a pair of characters that literally only have less then 10 minutes of screen time in the entire season.

Analysing it that way then you could say "LOL FLUTTERSHY 1 DIMENSION GETS SCARED LOL"

Klondork, while I can easily see how you could have reached that conclusion, I think I have the right to explain how that isn't the case. I don't particularly like Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash any more than any of the other characters. In fact, I'll openly state I like these three quite a lot. I am a football player myself, and neither I nor a single one of my teammates acts at all like these three. It's just that I've seen the "muscleheaded jerk-jock" character cliche so many times, along with the fact that these three are essentially the same character with different paintjobs, that I thought it was worth pointing out. That's not to take away from the show though, it's really great.

(Fun fact: Studies have shown that athletic participation in highschool associates with greater academic achievement and higher income, especially in males.)

That's how feel about stereotypical "southern" people in media, but I just learned to accept in after a while.

They're not one dimensional because they're bullies, they're one-dimensional because they're males. Other than Spike and Discord, every male character in the show has exactly one trait and they stick to it.
