^ The entire premise of Manly!Spike fantasies? The archetypical 'damsel in distress' pose she's in, combined with the fact she's in her formal gala wear?

Spike only had ONE Manly Spike fantasy. And all Applejack is doing is holding on to him. That doesn't mean she is in distress.

An archetypical "damsel in distress" pose is them being IN DISTRESS. Tied up, bound, trapped, captured, in danger. Holding on to someone willingly isn't what I'd call fitting the archetype. And what does the gala attire have to do with anything.

Also, need I remind you at the very least AJ DOES fear things?

Ah yes, clinging to his chest under a protective arm while he gives the thousand yard "come get me" stare. There's absolutely no heavy doses of machismo and male protectiveness here. Nah, that looks just like AJ. Dolled up and hiding against a strong male figure. Totally in character.

I thought we discussing whether she was clearly in Distress here? Why are we arguing whether it's in character. Alot of stuff is OoC

All you guys talking about AJ being in distress are completely missing the point. Since this is Dream Spike here, he's clearly fantasizing the whole thing. It doesn't matter if she's in or out of character, because this is all just an elaborate fantasy concocted in Spike's head, where he gets to be as big a hero as he wants to be.
