I can imagine how this could play out. alt-Celestia coming to believe the night isn't needed at all and keeps the sun up while Alt-Luna realises a balence is needed. So Solar Flare rises and Luna has to exile her own sister. Now it's up to the younger to maintain the balence. |

All I know is, I'd rather have eternal night over eternal day. For one thing, you can see other stars and lights at night, and another thing, death by freezing is a lot more pleasant than death by dehydration or burning, I'd imagine. |
