I stopped reading Past Sins a few chapters in, and from what I hear it has serious problems with warping canon characterizations, and making the OC an unlikeable whiner in the second half. But that doesn't make putting words in real people's mouths as some kind of bizarre reverse appeal to authority any less rude! |

I don't demand that everybody love Past Sins, I'd just like to be able to enjoy the story and maybe talk about it with other fans without being swarmed by haters exaggerating perceived flaws to ridiculous proportions. Same deal with the MLP-haters, really. It's not the people who tried it and didn't like it that I take issue with, it's the people who feel the need to attempt to stifle other people's fun. |

I liked past sins but I didn't think it was the best thing ever. I do think that there was a a bit too much angst from Nyx at times. And there were things that could have been improved upon twilights character. However I will not say everyone's characterizations were so off to the point where they were OCs. Like I've seen some people bullcrap as their argument. I think it's rather sad to see this story and OC to be so polarizing. Because that isn't what the authors had intended in the first place. I'm all for people having an opinion but this whole thing with Nyx now is beating a dead horse. You can have an opinion just don't be a freaking obnoxious douche shouting the same things over and over again whether it be a pro or anti Nyx picture like I've seen so many people do on this site. |
