This scene actually happens in the fanfic I'm writing. Here's an early draft version:
Luna arrived at her destination: Celestia’s throne. There were guards assembled outside the throne room, but she quickly blew through them and into the room where Celestia sat, with a look of stunned horror. Castle stepped forward to confront Luna, but Celestia stood from her chair and shouted “Stand down!” Castle was now in armor that had a blue symbol resembling his chess piece cutie mark, and was the only guard beside her throne. “Princess Celestia, my liege...you know what has happened recently. We have orders.” “Yes. And you have new ones from me. Stand down, let me deal with this. Go outside, and I will call if I need you. Pray I do not.” Castle nodded reluctantly, and went to the door out of the chamber. The other guards were seemingly considering coming in, but he gradually pushed them out, even those that outranked him by far, leaving the two sisters alone. “Luna...you should not have come here. The guards are on orders to arrest you on sight,” she sighed. Stammering uncharacteristically, “Things have gone so badly lately...let’s just talk. It’s been ages...is there some way I can help?” “STOP THE SUN!” “What?” “I said, halt the sun in the sky! Do not let noon come until I say it is okay.” “I can not...” “You know very well you can!” “No, I mean, if I do this, it will harm so many creatures. It would throw off crops and migrant birds. Travelers who rely on the sun’s path would be lost, particularly those at sea...why, Luna? What has happened that necessitates such dire action?” Luna stood there and literally smoldered. Smoke and lightning were crackling off her hair, and sparks drifted from her horn to scatter along the ground. Luna screamed and the stained glass windows near Celestia’s throne shattered. “There is NO TIME! If you will not help me, then I will take action myself! I will find another way!” Celestia tried to trot after her, and shouted “Luna! Come back! Let me help!” She stopped at the door, staring at her guards as Luna raced through them. |
