Putting this extremely awesome picture aside for a moment, I never get quite why Fluttershy is always the Medic. Sure, she's a veterinarian in the show, but the Medic is a complete psychopath who never even finished medical school (the Medigun's healing is actually an unintended "bothersome" side effect). Fluttershy would make a better Heavy; yes, the Heavy is a big loud Russian man, but only on the battlefield. At home he's a quiet, well-mannered literature aficionado |

@anon 384 The Medic did complete medical school. In Meet the Medic, he mentions losing his medical license because he stole a patient's skeleton. Also all of the Team having varying degrees of insanity (Heavy listens to his Sandvich, which tells him to kill everyone) One of the reasons everyone sticks Fluttershy as Medic, is it's the only class you can really get by without killing anyone. Also Fluttershy being the helping and supportive healer just fits. Though when you go into more indepth analysis, you do have the Flutterrage that Anon 442 mentions. Most of the time, Fluttershy is going to be just healing the Team from the protection of Applejack's sentry. Though if you make her angry, you'll find a bonesaw embedded in your face. |

I think that FS is often associated with ze Medic because his main purpose is to heal others, and only fight if in real trouble.
@Drasvin Heavy doesn't listens to his sandvich. That's just another line he uses to sound badass. |
