Next time save it as a png. I'm not saying jpgs are bad, but whatever program you are using (paint?) saves it with crappy quality.

^^^^ Few people really hate OCs as a whole. Nobody complained about Emlan's pear seller, for instance. What they do hate are things like: Terrible designs and color schemes Blatant self-inserts Making or using an OC for no real reason beyond self-gratification from feeling like your creation is a part of Equestria Making your OC friends with characters you wish you were friends with Pony Creator sprites, which aside from being ugly tell the viewer you don't care enough to put in any effort
