But yeah, Roboshi's got the right of it. Hasbro's been in the recolor game for a long time; insert generic comment about Blind Bags here. Heck, they don't even bother making different character art for other ponies in the standard toys. =/ |

I don't mind the recolors so much as the horrendous CHOICE of colors here. Pinkcherry and Gingertulip are the only two that don't cause eyestrain, and even they are too saturated.
The Hasbro folks put a lot of effort into deciding color combinations for their ponies. Seriously, a little color-theory study couldn't hurt if you're designing an OC pony. |
