It wasn't like she saw her parents or sent them letters everyday when she was in school under Celestia's wing. Sure, she'd send them a couple throughout the year, but those were mostly about her studies than anything personal. She was still in Canterlot, the city she was born and raised in. It was the same city where her parents lived, and just being there was enough for her to feel close to them.
Ever since she moved to Ponyville though, even though she loves it here and she loves the friends that she's made, she still misses home. But not the city, she misses that feeling of being close to her parents. There's nothing familiar about Ponyville, where she can stop, look and remenisce. She remembers whenever she walked around Canterlot with the princess, that she'd excitedly point of a little shop, or restaurant and ramble to Celestia about the place her and her parents went. Sometimes at night while studying, she'd get a strange knot like feeling in her stomach. Sometimes she just misses home a lot. |
