Allie's cutie mark is, I think, derived from a 1950's architecture style called "googie"; specifically the "starburst" which was commonly used in that style, especially in roadside businesses, like bowling alleys.
If you google "googie architecture starburst" and select images, you'll see many examples of the starburst used in googie architecture. |
