^The best thing to do if you get thrown out in space is to not get thrown out in space. It's not like it matters

Yeah, don't hold your breath when you are tossed out an airlock.

On the other hand you've only got the oxygen in your blood so you've got maybe a minute, tops, unless you are a pearl driver before you go unconscious. Death shortly after.

Unless you are Fluttershy, who like Batman, can breathe in space. (Who are you to say they can't? Say it to their face!)

Since we can hear Fluttershy talking, that means that there is an atmosphere, so I think holding your breath might be unnecessary regardless of pressure differences.

It's current scientific belief that if you hold your breath in space, you'll rupture the lungs alveoli, resulting in a massive internal hemorrhage that'll kill you in a matter of minutes, even if you are rescued.
If you leave your mouth open, tough, your lungs will empty with less damage, and if you are rescued before dying from hypoxia, in roughly one minute, you may recover with minor damage (mostly a minor case of the bends, popped eardrums and dried eyeballs).
Yes, vacuum is deadly.

When did anyone from Harry Potter go to space? I don't remember anything like that.

Oh, and the pic is funny.
