It was a very close fight, but at the end of the day, although control felt more in Marquez' favor, the stats throughout the fight fell a little more in Pacquiao's favor. It practically could have gone either way but someone had to call it. I really don't understand why people had suddenly clung to the idea Marquez won in the 12th round, especially the trainer when it wasn't that clear.
Also, I'm really upset at everyone calling this a horrible fight when it was possibly the most exhilarating one thus far in Pacquiao's career. Definitely better than the Mosely one. |
