Mini-Derpy is actually a pony who admires Derpy even more than Rainbow Dash is admired by Scootaloo.
She has painted herself grey and wears special contacts to make it look like she has derp eyes. The real Derpy has never met her. |

Nah, that's just Dinky.
The Unicorn? Well her mother's dead so she played along when Derpy mistook her for her own Filly. Fortunately everypony has been reunited with their true relatives and everypony's happy! Anyhow the other "Dinky" is back with her sister after realizing how much she missed her when she was being Derpy's daughter, and if you were better then me at telling a story I would be sure their reunion would be touching. Plus, being a Pegasus she can actually stay with her mother and not have to be left behind for any reason. |

Derpy Hooves is a companion of Doctor Whooves.
We can either presume that a) animation mistake/prank, b) there is another gray pegasus out there who derps, or c) apply Occam's Razor (the simplest explanation is the best) and assume that the time-traveling Doctor Whooves had to bring filly Derpy forward in time as part of one of his amazing adventures that are continually happening off-screen in Ponyville. Clearly c) is the only sensible option. |

^ Actually the fanon was devastated for about eighty-two minutes, which coincidentally is also the exact length of time the Dutch were a superpower in 1612 on a Thursday afternoon in-between the fall of the Spanish and the rise of the United Kingdom.
Once the existing Derpy fanon niche was devastated, new fanons quickly emerged and are now locked in a Darwinian struggle for primacy. Does Derpy have two daughters or was Sparkler doing some Big Sister social work? Only time will tell which will emerge victorious. |

Derpy as Dinky's mother is one of those inflexible points of fanon. Like the destruction of Pompeii it can not be stopped or altered. Fortunately this has canon support as Derpy was in the stands during the big race.
As were Lyra and BonBon, but sitting way apart from each other, but this was chalked up to a lover's spat. Lyra is after all a very odd pony. |
