Were you making ponies smile when you slamed Fluttershy and Twilight into a wall whilst dancing? Were you making ponies smile when you insigated a war between bison and ponies with a single annoying song? Were you making ponies smile when you were so willing to believe that your friends only hung around you to laugh at you behind your back? What about that time you forced Twilight to keep a secret that would have made everypony happy if it was revealed, or that time you got the town destroyed by parasprites because you couldn't be bothered to explian your actions properly, or that time you almost got Nightmare Night cancelled because you were so ignorant of Luna's feelings? Were you making ponies smile THEN? Hand in your element of joy. You don't deserve it. |

1. She didn't mean to knock them into walls, and everything was hunky-dory soon after because her friends love her and forgave her
2. She meant well, but the two sides had pretty much made up their minds to start all-out war prior to Pinkie's song. Her song became an easy target to place blame. 3. How can you expect her to be able to bring good cheer when she believes that the one thing she lives for is unappreciated? 4. The secret had to be kept because otherwise it would hurt everypony in the long run - with Twilight appearing to go behind her friend's backs and gossiping. Besides, Flutter and Rarity admitted their own feelings in their own time. 5. She tried to explain, but nopony listened to her and refused to help her. How about you try to convince people that finding a ton of instruments will avert a massive disaster one day 6. Pinkie didn't realise that it upset Luna until after Twilight had her pinned on the ground. And even then the solution involved Luna embracing the NMM legend and giving everypony a fright in the name of good fun, rather than trying to force ponies to forget about the legend and force them to like her. |

It sounds as if you're taking misunderstandings (meant to be humorous in the context of the show) and using them to fuel your fucktard-derived dislike of a character.
And if you're going to blame Pinkie for Nightmare Night when half of it was on Luna for taking things too seriously, you may as well also blame the rest of the mane 6 for "being dicks" and not noticing Pinkie was slowly going insane in 'Party of One', and same for Twilight in 'Lesson Zero'. Luna made one hell of an entrance on a creepy chariot during Nightmare Night, which Pinkie witnessed. I wouldn't be surprised if, and it wouldn't be unreasonable to think, Pinkie assumed Luna was there to have a bit of fun and make the holiday that much more fun for the kiddies. It's hardly Pinkie's fault that Twilight and Luna were both a bit too "serious business" to understand that children enjoy being scared. |

Pinkie can't be expected to be happy and joyous all the time. While she's a black-belt in 4th wall breaking and seems on a sugar rush all the time, her friends can't really catch up with her, leading her to go a step too far. Plus it's not like the others haven't acted against their elements. Applejack lied in Party of One to a friends face. Fluttershy... well. And all the others and their discorded states. |
