I refuse to believe that someone would really do this all by hand. I don't play Minecraft, but there has to be some kind of scripting system in it to automate tasks. It could be used to read an image file and place those blocks... right? |

Not in game but there's a 3rd party software that lets you place large amounts of blocks into strutctures and whatnot.
Don't know if whoever made this used it though. |

I suppose if you used a world editing tool you could probably simplify the process. But yeah, this isn't just good for pixel art, this is pretty good for art in general. |
