I'd like to think of a witty comment to put here, but I can't.

Just want to say that I f'ing love the Advance Wars series, and Days of Ruin (despite being a little low on quantity of content) was awesome.

@Jack: Advance Wars DS: Days of Ruin, it was a bit grittier compared to the other games.

Jackarunda.

The last Advance Wars released was Days of Ruin. It took place in an alternate universe from the GBA born series and had a darker tone.

Great game, but compared to Dual Strike, it lacks in content. Also COs were a bit more balanced out.

Going by original series rules regarding CO powers:

Twilight-
*Pros: Increased range, and firepower for indirect-fire units.
*Cons: decreased firepower and movement for direct-fire units.
*CO power: (Scorn of the Unicorn): +1 range and firepower for indirect units.
*Super CO power: (Twilight Hour): +2 range and firepower for indirect units.

Applejack-
*Pros: Increased Firepower and movement for direct attack units.
*Cons: Decreased Firepower and range for indirect attack units.
*CO Power: (Bumper Crop): +1 Firepower and movement to direct attack units.
*Super CO Power: (Rodeo Rampage): +2 Firepower and movement to direct attack units.

Rainbow Dash-
*Pros: Increased movement and firepower for Air units.
*Cons: Decreased movement and firepower for land and sea units.
*CO Power: (Buccaneer Blaze): Enemy Air units take 1 HP of damage.
*Super CO Power: (Sonic Rainboom): Enemy Air and Sea units take 2 HP of damage.

Fluttershy-
*Pros: High defense, increased repair.
*Cons: Decreased attack, higher repair cost.
*CO Power: (Pegasus Pacifier): Enemy units lose -1 Movement.
*Super CO Power: (The Stare): Enemy units lose -2 movement and the 5 enemy units closest to your units are unable to move for one turn.

Pinkie Pie-
*Pros: 30% Increased chance of lucky hits.
*Cons: 30% Increased chance of less powered hits.
*CO Power: (Pinkie Sense): Enemy units -20% firepower.
*Super CO Power: (Giggle at the Ghosties): Enemy units -40% firepower and suffer 3 missle strikes.

Rarity-
*Pros: Increased funds.
*Cons: Lower Defence & Attack.
*CO Power: (Razzle Dazzle): Increased Firepower based on funding.
*Super CO Power: (Art of War): Drastically increased firepower based on funding.

Spike-
Pros:Increased movement, firepower, and defence for Infantry. Capture +5.
Cons: Reduced movement, firepower, and defence for Vehicles.
CO Power: (Tip the scales): Increased cover and firepower for Infantry.
Super CO Power: (DragonFire): Drastically Increased cover and firepower for Infantry, automatically capture buildings.

twilight seems to be that indirect weapons guy with slipsteam.. (forgot his name
dashes super power sounds kinda useless :P
