Because it wasn't an aperture brand combustible lemon. Everypony knows that combustible lemons from any other manufacturer than aperture science are rubbish. |

Love this, that's exactly what would happen. I don't think Scootaloo would learn to fly or Sweetie Belle would learn magic on the show, but trying to teach each other and mess up would make a great fun story.
I always imagined that Sweetie and Scoots were severely disadvantaged due to being born in Ponyville since their school only taught Earth pony skills. So while they may learn basic wing use and ponykinesis I think they've missed out on excelling at the real spellcasting and weather control stuff for life. On the other hand, like Fluttershy, they may have developed a natural knack at various crafts to make up for it due to their Earth pony upbringing. Which may be the explanation why they are able to pursue so many paths as CMCs. |
