Really early on, and even now, I would often here arguments like.
"Rainbow Dash is in no way gay or bisexual. She's just supposed to be just a strong, tomboyish girl, but the creators have no intention of ever implying that she might be a lesbian. While they were probably aware of the connotations of rainbow dash being into girls with, a) identifies very male b) rainbow symbol c) constant tension with her female friends,....it's still a kids show, so in the long run, they're never going to even hint she's a lesbian in any way, or hint at a gay relationship at all." In the rare cases when someone would explain it in that much detail, I would usually have to say something like "Well, I guess so....when you put it that way....its still a little suspect though." After the introduction of both Gilda and Spitfire's characters however..... ">_>.......RIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT." |
