I'd say quite a while, 519. They mostly seem to get picked up if they interact with "valued" characters in a positive way. Ones that go in the other direction, like Derpy's frustrated boss, don't seem to be getting much attention any time soon. |

Have to sympathise with 567. For we know, we could be completely wrong. Ditzy/Derpy might not have any relations to the two, contrary to what fanon we all thought up in our heads. It'd be wonderful for many if Derpy was confirmed to be their mother, but nothing has been truly set in stone yet.
The idea of Dinky and Sparkler officially confirmed as sisters is... Something about that feels nice. It feels right somehow. And I'm really happy such a thing has become canon. Bonus points for the extra meaning that Derpy is a mother of 2... Well, according to the fanon anyways. I don't care so strongly really, but I know others do. They do because it's a rather pleasent idea. |

My head canon is and Actual cannon you might laugh now.
But I can hit a moving target from 60 yards without having to much trouble. However I can only hit an airborne target at 30 Yards Haha I spelled Airborne correctly on my first try take that spell check |

I've updated my headcanon without realizing it.
If the oldest of the mane 6 [Rarity] is 26, then Derpy can easily be 35 without looking much older, and if the youngest is 16 [Pinkie], Sparkler can be 15 without looking younger. Therefore, Derpy can be the mother of both Dinky and Sparkler. It fits well enough. I love this fandom so much. |

I suppose I'll agree with "well enough". The matter of the Young Flyers Competition leaves me feeling other options fit better, but I don't worry about how well things fit when I enjoy them. In my mind you either do your best to keep to ideas that fit the best, or you don't worry about it and go with what you like. If you look like you're trying for the best fit when you aren't necessarily doing so at all people will attempt to debate the matter. So here's to "well enough"! |

"headcannon" huh? Okey Here's mine then! Derpy IS Dinky's mother, Derpy being in her mid-twenties with Dinky being about six or seven, now Derpy being The Doctors side-kick and all, goes time-traveling with The Doctor, but she could'nt keep taking Dinky with her, that'd be too dangerious, so she did the next best thing, and gave Dinky to her best friend Sparkler for a while, and the sisterhooves social is what cemented the two ponies relationship as sisters, .....How's that sound? took me about 15 minutes to'come up with that :p any good? |

That's basically how I feel on the matter, but in someways it's not the most awkward to me. I could probably enjoy it, but I would still shove it into a semi-distant alternate universe to mitigate the awkward. |
