Russia isn't dead, the USSR is. And as much as I can't stand stereotypical Russian jackassery, they made Dostoevsky so Russia > America.
1984, while set in the UK, was an allegory against Stalinism, which is why (I assume) Spike shows up here as Stalin. |

Orwell was a socialist. He even fought in Spain for the socialists. There he learend to hate Stalin, because not only is Stalin an asshole but also the greatest dumbfuck in history.
