No ... since Twilight is the main character of the series Celestia isn't going to be handling everything ... Celestia is teaching Twilight to take care of the major problems of the kingdom, rather than handle everything herself (in canon she can no longer use the elements of harmony, and wasn't present when Nightmare Moon returned).
In Lesson Zero, Twilight WAS the problem, so Celestia had to step in. |

Nightmare Moon:
- Requires Elements of Harmony to defeat - Celestia cannot wield the Elements of Harmony - Celestia couldn't do jack Discord: - Requires Elements of Harmony to defeat - Celestia cannot wield the Elements - Discord had enough power to FUCK UP THE DAY/NIGHT CYCLE - Celestia couldn't do jack Dragons: - Not the dragon's fault he picked that cave to sleep in - Celestia personally evicting him could have caused a massive diplomatic incident - You don't want dragons pissed at your kingdom The toy: - Twilight Sparkle is too powerful to let run unchecked - Spike personally requested her aid - Good excuse to tamper down some of the sharper edges of her personality Advice ponies: does anyone think before they write these things? |
