I still like the half/step sister option the most. sort of giving dinky a cool older sister.

that is to say, I like this picture because of it.

I also don't care if a picture isn't that option.

I like Sparkler as Dinky's aunt (on her father's side, obviously). Either way, it's a nice pic.

And so they were made family after a bit of bitching from idiots about the episode, lol.

Meh, I currently prefer to see them as sisters to the exclusion of keeping Derpy as their mother.

But generally instead of arguing I would rather ask, what sort of methods do you use to organize your headcanon?

I personally think that it's very heartwarming to imagine Sparkler as a surrogate sister to Dinky who helps Derpy raise her. It fits just fine with older fanon and adds a new layer of depth to all three characters.

Yes, combine canon with fanon! Everyone wins!

@#640777

I'd rather not have canon combined with fanon, mostly because that's actually the reason I have a problem with anything.

It can be discomforting for me at times due to how "weak" some of the explanations are.

I don't think people should feel obligated to combine them, that's just not a requirement for this sort of headcanon.

On the assumption that English isn't your first language and this is a legitimate question:
"Half-brother/sister" refers to two people who share only one parent. As in, for example, two brothers with the same father but different mothers.
