depends on how your defining grim dark. Personally, my problem comes from the dark part. The idea that progress is impossible, and things are hopeless is just incompatable with the subject presented. Grim can happen, just look at the one image we have of Discord's reign, but Dark makes no sense. If I was challanged to do it, and accepted, the key would be 'doing something terrible for the greater good' Make a world, manipulate that world to teach vital lessons in a controlled enviornment, and belive that some suffering is required to teach those lessons. |
