She was a beloved subject of Celestia's. Unable to cope with losing her (the difference in a mortal and immortal lifespan), Celestia turned her into stone. She immediately regretted it and vowed never to turn another pony into stone. |

That's not the same statue that's in the middle of town, though. It's the same pony, but a different sculpture. This means that it's most likely NOT a "stoned" pony, but is actually "just a statue". Considering that there are multiple of the same pony, I really am beginning to wonder about her story! |

@Heinous: Just because she's frozen a few folks doesn't mean she's a necessarily a tyrant. Discord's freezing was completely justified both times. Who's to say this pony didn't pose almost as much of a threat in her day? |
