Dinky being Derpy's daughter is one of the sweetest bits of fanon out there, and I'm not going to stop loving the idea just because of a few seconds where the animators decided to pair up filly #3 with mare #8 for the race.

Besides, before Dinky, Derpy's main characterization was as "the retard pony."

I can't believe people care about this. Anyways, at least we got Derpy(Ditzy) and Carrot Top(Golden Harvest) interaction in the previous episode. That was a nice bone for them to throw to us. They also used DJ-PON3 (a fanon name) and the term bronies.

So we don't get everything as we wanted. Our fanon will survive. No worries bronies just adjust and move forward.

Come one guys remeber the one day rule thing, odds are dinky is an only child and derpy probally asked her to be her sister for a day so dinky could have some fun yknow no need to jump the shark with her being related to them.

I thought this was a game for sisters. Isn't fanon says that Dinky Doo and Derpy are parent/child? I doubt Derpy would be in this scene if she was a parent.

Dinky has never derped, the has a very light color tone near the lower portion of the iris, opaque to nearly white making it look distorted at times. Secondly, imo, there is no relation with these two and hasbro/Hub, w/e tried to convince the fans this.

You know, people keep overlooking two things when it comes to this "OH NOES, DINKY NO LONGER RELATED TO DERPY" stuff.

1. Derpy/Dizy is Dinky's MOM, not her sister, so I'm wondering how them not competing together in a SISTERLY competition disproves a relationship.

2. Sweetie and Applejack entered together and they're not sisters or even, unless Rarity and Sweetie's dad gets introduced as 'Uncle Hard Cider' or something, even blood related, so you can come up with any number of explanations in-show for why Sparkler and Dinky are competing together WITHOUT throwing a tantrum about fannon being rain-nuked.
