Hey guys! This is playing off of the perception of black men as well-endowed, the mild taboo of white women desiring black men (in the show, represented by ponies and Zebra if we consider Zecora's african heritage as representative), etc, etc.
If it were to end on "it's something innocent, chortle chortle, that'd be kind of funny. If it ended on "Surprise! It's actually something innocent and all those sexual subtexts existed just in your head. I guess you were the real racist/sexist/pervert all along", well, that'd be dumb, since the joke only works by the authour's own admission of the existence of these subtexts within their own mind and the minds of their audience. It would not be an enlightening satire about our expectations, but a mocking rug-pull filled with smug satisfaction. Thankfully this is the Weaver and I'm sure he's not had to consider any of these things and would probably be quite dismissive of such paltry 'pc' mind-games. |

Wrong. The guy is a manwhorse who happens to be a zebra. Further, his role has been presented as normal, casual, even friendly. If you want to read into a taboo of race or idea of genital size I have not once even suggested in this entire series, I can't stop you. But it's still just you projecting. Since you just said that you're not doing that, he's a prostitute that happens to be black (well okay a zebra but fucking hell we get it with the African symbolism), that removes the concern I was pointing out.
