When I was about 6 my dad allowed me to watch a horror film (I'll never remember which one) and after one of the characters died the killer took one of his eyeballs. I figured that was impossible because I thought eyeballs were über delicate and would pop, but my dad insisted they were not so easy to break. So we argued for a while: "They are super squishy and they break just by touching them when they're dead", "no son, they are harder than you think".
Finally I said "I'll become an eye doctor and like, totally steal some eyes and I'll bring them home and we'll squish them until they pop and then you'll see I'm right!". I never stole any eyeballs but yeah, I was that young when I chose my career and it was pretty much to settle a bet with my dad. |
