Due to his status as a hoofballer, I propose that he is actually an earth pony. Not that a unicorn can't play hoofball too, but that sport's a rather physically-oriented one, wouldn't you say?

For those who would care, I've actually developed a fairly workable pony adaptation for American football. All it really needed was some reigns on the football itself, and some magic to throw it with.

Rarity's father is Magnum, p.i. (pony investigator). He used to drive a Ferrari and named her after it. He was an ex-Navy officer and is a big fan of the Army-Navy football games. It all fits! |
