Yikes. An innocent meander to check out other MLP cosplays, and I find this picture...of me. I understand the terrified reactions, quite frankly this terrifies me as well. It looks like the same nightmare-inducing sardonic grin my Bible-thumping neighbor used to shoot me.
Anyway, most of these responses make me even more nauseous. I think I'll just...never leave my house again. And though a woman should never have to justify her appearance, I will say the costume drew inspiration partially from Rikku (Final Fantasy, can you see it?). I just always liked that character's costume and since I was trying to dress as a goddamn pony, I figured I might as well incorporate it. The contacts are intense because they're supposed to look fake as hell, I wanted to look cartoonish as possible (Aino lenses from extremesfx.com, I would highly recommend for cosplay). I put a lot of planning and a considerable amount of cash into this costume. It sucks to find people tearing it apart...along with the rest of my appearance :/ |
