For a small, single-piece plastic mold, seems pretty fine to me. I think you're just hyper-critical.

it's fine
all the 'super fanponies' are just crying out and being hyper critical because Hasbro didn't name the toy's the fandom names

At least this makes it canon that Big Mac is indeed very gentle.

I think this may be a(n amazing or stupid, take your pick) satire of the whole "toy vs. fanon" thing.

The average 3-8 year old girl watching the show won't care. That's the largest market, or at least the target one that got Bronies interested in the first place. No need to change the model unless you're not making money.

And Hasbro is making mad money.

The only thing I find a little weird is that the toy looks a little feminine.

HOWEVER!
Lauren Faust said it's "Big McIntosh", not "Big Macintosh" (at least on her "Pitch Bible")

yeah, and in the pitch bible he owned sweet apple acres himself but that got changed.

the pitch bible isn't always canon, and I'm more willing to go with what is used on the storyboards

No, the reason they're different is because the toys and FiM are different continuities. The Big Macintosh toy is a parallel-universe version of the Big McIntosh we're familiar with.

Oh god, you better not be complaining about the hair outline not appearing on a 3D object.

I hate being picky but this looks nothing like Big Mac.
