Lyra only has 1 name, which is Lyra, Heartstrings is a complete different pony, made by Hasbro. Heartstrings is a clone of Twilight Sparkle, Lyra is a complete different pony, who likes to sit down like a human. PERIOD! |

@Latias To be honest, I really don't care as long as ponibooru doesn't follow MLP Wiki's example and go through the nearly 140 pages of images of this pony to delete the name "Lyra" from existence. That would just start an endless edit war and piss everybody off.
I like the idea of "Heartstrings" as a surname, and I like the name itself. Just not as her only name. We've been calling her "Lyra" for nearly a year, and the people supporting the change (mostly anons, I have noticed) need to respect that. TL;DR: Tag with both names regardless of whether you support the change or not, just to be safe. |

I've been too used to calling her "Lyra" to change her name in any respect myself. I'm not a fan of ponies with 'surnames' in general, but I'm willing to let others use whichever names they wish, as it's their choice.
I'm sticking with just "Lyra". |

^Agreed. It'll annoy me if I see others calling her something else, but I won't call anyone out on it. But if someone "corrects" me, telling me to call her something other than Lyra, THAT'S when I'll flip my shit. |

Heartstrings is a cute name. If it becomes canon that her name is Heartstrings rather than Lyra, or Lyra Heartstrings, I'm fine with that. But cheap plastic toys aren't canon. Heartstrings *could* be a cheap way to do Lyra...or she could be a recolor of Twilight Sparkle and a totally different pony. |
