Ms. Faust & crew originally included bridles as clothing accessories, but Hasbro suggested it was a bad idea (that is, they didn't shoot it down, but they didn't care much for it). If you look carefully, you will spot mannequins in Rarity's shop wearing them, but so far none of the background ponies have had them. The one time the Mane 6 wore them was during the Diamond Dogs episode, and they got rid of them fast. |

Applejack shoved a make-shift one into Rainbow Dash's mouth. She was straight up OFFENDED at the notion. 'twas awesome.
I like the idea of an ancient war against humans. That WOULD explain a lot of the technology. It would also explain some things that don't need explaining, like why some of the ponies dressed up as knights and such. |
