My question is, how would the parents know about bronies and why would they care so much, unless they already knew their child was one?
And how would the point of discussion come up? "Hey son, you know what I really fucking hate? Bronies." That doesn't just come out of the blue, does it? |

Lucky for me, I told my family that I'm a brony months ago and have warned them against these rumors, so they understand. |

Kinda wierd. My parents are rather prude but I occationaly show my mom some extremely absurd or funny r34 of ponies to recieve a facepalm or some sarcastic comment by her.
Seriously parents make such a big deal about internet stuff? Kick their child out because of some rumors from God knows where? |

I believe it. The parents sound like a pair of religious nutjobs who think Fox News is as good as the Bible. I'm a Christian AND a Conservative, but I realize there are extremists in both cases.
The guy isn't asking for money or anything, so it's not like he's using this story to get stuff. Honestly, this is more plausible than one may think. Some parents are closed minded idiots. Also, according to the comments, he's from Texas. More evidence backing up the possibilty of this being true. I don't mean to insult Texans, but it is the most conservative state, so the chance of having parents like that are increased. Same with the claim of the cops saying the mom can get away with it. If it's a small town with a local small police department, I could see some cops saying stuff like that. Of course, if we're talking a big city like Dallas or Houston, then something is off. Basically, I'm saying this story isn't as unlikley as some people claim. He isn't asking for money or anything, so I doubt he's using it as just some ploy. Honestly, I'm just surprised something like this didn't happen sooner. I won't be surprised if this gets on the news somewhere. |

@bamakid, I think it's likely somewhere out in West Texas, the crazies seem to be in higher concentrations out there. Thankfully I don't live in that area of Texas. |
