Am I detecting the influence of a classic Miyamoto Musashi display in that second-to-last panel? |

@624126
It's a full-grown wyvern, not a baby drake. The War of the Dragons was a conflict between the various subspecies. Drakes (what I'm calling the two big'uns we saw in the series) are the largest and most powerful, but are also rare-ish and highly territorial. Wyverns are about pony-sized and are social dragons--they nest and hunt in colonies, like bats. @624286 Sentinels, Rangers, and Magisters are the three primary branches of the Equestrian Royal Guard. That's another topic I'll be going into later. @625148 You get a cookie. |

Short answer, no. I'll go into it more in a future comic, but the Rangers are more akin to a police force. |
