@ 209: It's probably a dirty joke, because I read a fic (which was actually called Skittles, now that I think about it) that had a really similar one as the punchline. But I suppose that there is a chance that it isn't. |

fongsaunder, if it makes you feel better I can say that the art is skilled and the Splinter Cell get-up is cute. But I am sick of more of these damn tumblrs popping up every day. Everything like that is beaten into the fucking ground. And yes, I don't have to read them, but that also doesn't mean I have to be happy about it when they pop up on here.
And it is incredibly hilarious to me that I am agreeing with sarge on this. |

Hm, one-dimensional? Maybe. The "eating skittles" part is not intended to be sexual. It's merely Scootaloo making a bad joke to assert an "untouchable alpha" status. Thus the slightly elevated head position rather than straight on, as shown in the second comic. Kinda hard to define that from a single post, though. Any character could be defined as one-dimensional in a single seven or eight panel comic. Give it time - there's actually character development and story arcs planned. Things are going to get quite deep, but to tell would ruin the surprise. It'll take a while, though, given I'm a college student and don't have too terribly much time to work on the tumblr at any given time. I will also gladly take critique on how to improve the writing or art - mind that opinion is not critique. Critique has a direct example of how to improve, whereas opinion merely expresses the thoughts of an individual on the piece. So far, the criticism here has lacked any supporting evidence or examples, aside from the one referencing that fanfic. Unfortunately, that means it all must be dismissed as opinion. I'm frankly surprised that it's had any criticism at all, really. I'm just doing this for fun, not for any accolades or attention. Stick along if you'd like, and enjoy the ride. Nobody's forcing anyone to read these, and anyone is free to ignore what they dislike. |

I've only read two fanfics- cupcakes and that one about Nyx. Any similarities with any other fanfics are completely unintentional. |

^ Oh my. You haven't even read the non-psycotic ones yet. I started with Cupcakes, Rarity's new dress, and Sweet Apple Massacre. I'm glad I gave fics one last chance after that. Cutie Mark Crusaders and the quest for the lost mark. The door was closing fast and that fic kicked it wide open. Like a SWAT team. |
