There's no doubt that this was the epitome of all things epic. Boombergs, Sonic Rainboom, a bunch of Twilight's 1337 magic skillz, and more references than I can count off the top of my head.
However, it came with some narm that dampened the epicness. That middle section was, I repeat, like a K-drama without the car crashes. Arguments and fighting, sure, I can see that happening. My issue is how the characters just cry too easily. Undo about 75% of the times their eyes tear up and I might be able to take this more seriously (As seriously as this can be taken in the first place, anyways). |

Excellent work! It is epic stuff. Bravo! Mostly keeping the personalities of each characters.
But the middle was too much mellow dramatic. From nice to bad. Woaw! I said when I've read them. Uh?Twilight! hanging herself? Too far. But the lesson makes sense. I hope we'll see a finished product. It deserves to be. Again great work! |

I can't recall a fan comic as enjoyable as this one. Love all the drawings, the story was both engaging and hilarious, the moral was really deep, and I love the handwriting throughout.

In the time needed for one episode, they managed to make 20 kickass giant rainboom-cream-covered alcoholic apple pies, suffer four friendship breakdowns, one per mane pony involved, crown Tom the Rock King, make Twilight actually learn something or two, and completely ignore Fluttershy! If that isn't Epic, I don't know what is! |

...Where did you come from? I bet you didn't enjoy Lesson Zero, either? It as good as completely ignored Fluttershy(She wrestled a bear; which was percieved OOC for the sake of hilarity, but means she didn't actually affect much herself; and then didn't have any real dialogue after that.), had one insanely bad breakdown that is nowhere near as bad (and twice as pointless) as these four, referenced about as many memes, and didn't even have as much actual emotion or a real moral! Heck, Lesson Zero even slightly reinforced Trollestia, which makes it a lot worse in my book. Not to say Lesson Zero wasn't a great episode, but this is that much better. Any of the other insane stuff is explained by it being inspired by Epic Meal Time, which was more than a little insane to begin with. |

Pretty sure Celestia's sternness in that episode comes of her being upset over Twilight brain-r*neigh*ing the entirety of Ponyville. It was just convenient to keep up the 'angry and frightening authority figure' front to make sure the girls were wholly honest. |
