Summary
Min Yoongi had only one wish: to see the ocean just once in his life.
After getting to know the older, Park Jimin had only two wishes: to
stay by Yoongi's side and to make him happy.
Notes
This is my first fanfic posted in English (both here and on my
AsianFanfics account). English is not my first language, so you may
notice some mistakes. Also, I know that some parts are rushed and
that my writting style needs a lot of improvement.
Feel free to give me a feedback, please. I really want to improve my
     style.
     And thanks for reading.
Min Yoongi used to have only one wish. In his life, there was no place for
happiness, hope, trust or any other positive things. He had just a few wishes,
and one of them was to see the ocean.
The beautiful waves were captivating him, although he had seen them only in
pictures or on tv. Their reassuring sound was a source of peace and inspiration
for him, although he had heard it only in some documentaries at his geography
class.
Yoongi adored the ocean just as much as he hated himself. The sea was
beautiful, full of life and wild. The sea had given birth to every amazing
thing in the world. And, the most important thing of all, the ocean was free.
He, instead, was just a sad teenager, without any purpose in life. The only
emotions that he remembered to have ever felt were sadness and hatred, not
towards the others but towards himself. But, more than anything, he was
chained. In the end, who would have left a depressive teenager on his own?
He knew he shouldn't have been like this. His parents loved him a lot, that's
why the news that their son was depressed had shocked them more than it had
shocked the boy himself. Yoongi didn't blame them though. He didn't blame his
mother because she was strictly controlling him, forcing him to eat, not
allowing him to have any sharp object which he could hurt himself with, nor any
bit of privacy or freedom. He also didn't blame his father for the words that
he had thrown during his tantrums, nor for hitting him when he was drunk and
poured his anger over his son.
The boy understood that it was just his fault, that he shouldn't have been
weak, that he should fight on his own the problems which came once he had
started the middle school and that he shouldn't have disappointed his parents,
who had only wished a strong son. He also knew he shouldn't have ever touched
the cold, sharp blade, that he should have accepted the mean words that had
been thrown at him and fight the stress.
So, for more than four years, being locked into his house and without any bit
of freedom had become a routine for the boy who could only see the world in
black and white.

To start something new is not easy, and the first day of school could be really
terrifying for some children.
For Jimin, the first day at the new high school had been pure torture. He was
used with being ignored by his classmates, or sometimes with being bullied by
'the cool kids', but he had never been beaten up, nor brought to a state of
crying like a little kid and running to hide himself.
This way, in a cold day of October, Yoongi found the fragile boy with chubby
cheeks crying in the locker room. Usually, he wouldn't have given a damn and
maybe he would have called a teacher, then left to his classroom, but that
time, he felt something different, like he needed to help the little boy in
order to calm down his own sadness. So he sat down next to Jimin, hugged him
tightly and let him cry on his shoulder, feeling every shiver and every sigh of
the younger crossing his cold heart, making him feel something new and strange,
but also a bit pleasant. Was it compassion?

Just like the most beautiful flowers can blossom on arid, land, drained of
vitality, a friendship can be tied between two black, unhappy souls.
So, in less than two months, the two boys had become inseparable. Jimin was now
Yoongi's shadow, following him everywhere and giving him all his attention and
affection, and the older was protecting him for bullies. Because Yoongi had a
reputation in that high school. Nobody, excepting Jimin, knew what was hiding
behind his cold, apparently careless face.
But, although they had each other at school, the two boys couldn't protect each
other from the problems that appeared in their families, so they had made a
silent agreement: they were never talking about what had happened outside the
school. So Jimin had no clue about the abuse that Yoongi was going through at
home, neither Yoongj knew about Jimin's parent's absence from the boy's life.

The Christmas Eve has been a horrible day for Yoongi. His mother had gone to
Hong Kong because of her work and his father was out, drinking with some work
mates, like on any other evening, drowning all the stress in alcohol.
That evening, just like every evening from the past week, Yoongi was laying on
his bed, staring at a little paper with a phone number written on and wondering
whether he should call the one who had given it to him: the little, fragile boy
with dark hair and full of hope eyes.
Suddenly, the sound of the front door being fiercely shut was heard in the
entire house. The teenager sat on the side of his bed, waiting for his father
to come in and beat him up, like he was used to. Instead, he watched in horror
as a man who looked around thirty years old stormed into the room, followed by
the boy's father, who was smiling mischievously. The said man spoke, throwing a
disgusted look towards his son.
"I've lost a poker match to this gentleman, so make yourself useful this time
and pay the bill"
The boy was in shock, knowing that he had no money, so he couldn't pay
anything. He watched with wide eyes as the stranger came closer to him, having
an animal expression on his face, which was perfectly matching to his rough
gestures.
Yoongi closed his eyes and clenched his teeth when the man laid him on his
back. He didn't try to escape, to fight, not even to scream, knowing that
everything would have been senseless. He just blacked out, trying to block
everything and surround himself with his own thoughts, which, not surprisingly,
were mostly about Jimin. When the cold hands uncovered and explored his body,
his imagination fixed on the younger boy's delicate, but strong arms. When the
harsh lips touched his sensitive skin, bitting and leaving purple bruises
behind, his vision was filled with Jimin's sweet smile and when the man started
pounding heartlessly into him, without giving a damn whether he was hurting the
other or not, Yoongi fixed into his mind the beautiful existence that was his
younger friend.
The boy didn't dare to move on the bed until he heard the front door closing
behind the stranger with a loud sound. But after he made sure that the man had
left the house, he quickly gathered his clothes, dressed himself and hid in a
corner, sobbing like a little kid.
After he had hardly stopped crying and had barely had a panic attack, he heard
a soft knock on the window. He opened the window and stepped back and after
just a few seconds, Jimin was inside of his room, hugging him tightly and
mumbling:
"He can't hurt you anymore, hyung. He won't hurt you ever again..."
Yoongi didn't need another confirmation to realize that Jimin knew everything.

Yoongi could protect Jimin on school, where they kept by each other's side. But
if the black-haired boy had been in a war with his bullies, then the streets
would have been enemy territory and him walking alone would have been a target
too easy to reach. And it didn't take too long before the bullies had realized
this. In the end, Jimin's way from high school to his home had become a battle
that he, unfortunately, was losing every time.
14th February was for the most children a reason to celebrate. But on the same
day, Park Jimin had been found on a back street, lying unconsciously, trembling
and having his body full of bruises. Later the same day, Min Yoongi ran into
the hospital which his friend had been taken to, being followed by his mother,
who seemed to be ready to ask a thousand questions.
Jimin had been lucky since he didn't have any broken bone, although the purple
bruises were covering his body, along with a lot of scars that he wasn't able
to explain. The doctors let him go home after making sure that he was going to
be carefully supervised. After leaving the hospital, he thanked Mrs. Min with a
shy smile. At the woman's questions he didn't answer at all, and when she
mumbled "There's no need to thank me", he simply shrugged his shoulders and
replied:
"My aunt wouldn't have liked to spend her time coming to pick me up, so you
basically saved me from some trouble. Thank you."
After a few a few moments of silence, Mrs. Min said: "You're spending the night
at our place. You and my son can keep each other company while I'll be at
work."

Once they had entered the empty house, Jimin felt that any bit of mental or
physical strength was leaving his body, and after Yoongi had closed the door
behind them, he collapsed into the older's arms and let his tears flow.
The teenager with milky skin and sad eyes was not the type of person to cry
often. Actually, he could recall only about five times when he had cried during
the last five years. Despite this, he felt that Jimin's tears were his own
tears, and the younger's pain was only making him suffer even more, so he
started crying together with him, hugging his tiny body tightly and trying to
show him that he was not alone.
After a few minutes filled with silent sobs, the younger whispered:
"My aunt... She doesn't want me here. She mostly ignores me, and when she
doesn't, she just says that I'm a waste of space..."
Yoongi sighed, knowing that he should stop the discussion there in order not to
push Jimin over the edge and make him too sad, but he continued:
"My father left my mum before I was born. A few months after she gave me birth,
she killed herself because she was still in love with that bastard. Before
doing this, she wrote an apology letter in which she asked my aunt to take care
of me. But my aunt never loved neither her sister, nor me. She's taking care of
me just because this assures her some money."
The younger boy seemed surprisingly calm, although he was trembling into the
other's arms. Not knowing what to say to make things at least a bit more
bearable, Yoongi just mumbled:
"You should take a hot bath. It is relaxing. Come on, I will help you."
Jimin followed him quietly to the bathroom and watched carefully as the older
was preparing his bath, making sure that the water was warm enough. The younger
blushed slightly when his friend offered to help him take off his clothes, but
nodded slowly and let the other undress him, then stepped into the warm water.
Yoongi turned around and walked to the door when Jimin's soft voice echoed into
the bathroom:
"Hyung, come here stay with me, please..."
Suddenly, deep inside Yoongi's soul, a wave of disgust and self-hatred took
over, since he couldn't help but think that everything about him was disgusting
and that he wasn't worth even being watched by someone like the younger. But,
as always, his love for Jimin was stronger, so he undressed himself and stepped
into the water too, sitting on the younger's lap and leaning his back against
the boy's strong chest.
The teen with bright, hazel eyes rested his chin on the other's shoulder,
studying carefully the little bruises which were still covering his neck.
Without a second thought, he started placing soft, gentle kisses all over them
while tracing his fingers on the older's torso and tights in a silent attempt
to assure him that he wasn't ever going to hurt him and, more than that, trying
to prove his love and care for the brown haired boy.
For Yoongi, the shock was too much. Memories were starting to come back,
memories from the last months, in which other people had been using him, making
him feel dirty, disgusting, horrible, and on top of everything, he swore he had
heard his dad's voice saying "You like pain anyway, don't you? Take this pain
then." Yet, he succeeded clinging to the idea that, this time, Jimin was the
one caressing his body with affectionate gestures, trying to calm him down, so
he slowly relaxed, letting every tender tough take away all his insecurities.
When Jimin's lips touched his neck again, Yoongi couldn't help but throw his
head back and whisper in a trembling voice:
"Jiminnie, make love to me, please."
After a few seconds of silence, the younger boy answered while smiling shyly:
"It would be my pleasure to do this, hyung."

Min Yoongi used to have only one wish: to see the ocean just once in his life.
Park Jimin also had only one wish: to make Yoongi happy. So, first day of the
summer holiday, which happened to be Yoongi's first holiday after graduating
high school, the boy with dark locks and a smile which could have melted
anyone's heart surprised his friends with two train tickets to Busan.
The very next day, both boys were sitting on the edge of a cliff and watching
the blue, shiny ocean.
"Hyung..." Jimin breathed weakly, "Do you still want to jump?"
Yoongi looked away and smiled sadly, knowing both what the younger would have
liked to hear and the fact that he couldn't lie to him, so he nodded slowly,
expecting to hear how disappointed his lover was. Instead of this, he felt his
hand being taken by the other boy, then he heard a soft whisper:
"Let's jump together then."
The brown haired turned his head and kissed the younger, murmuring against his
lips:
"I love you, Jiminnie. And have no worry, we won't jump into this ocean yet.
Let's jump into something more important instead."
Jimin raised an eyebrow as the older giggled and pinched his nose, then said:
"Let's jump into the ocean called 'life' together, you, silly boy."
After a few seconds spent letting the older's words sink in, the boy smiled
widely and said:
"Anything as long as we're together, Yoongi hyung."
